What a day! The wedding of Mykela and Dean MacFadyen was one of those wonderfully relaxed and fun occasions that are a joy to capture. From the very start, it was clear this wedding would be all about enjoying the moment and celebrating love with laughter.

The morning began with a chilled vibe in the bridal suite. Mykela, her bridesmaids, her mum, and soon-to-be mother-in-law spent the morning getting ready with music in the background and champagne bottles popping. Everyone was in such great spirits, enjoying the calm before the celebration.

Dean, on the other hand, was feeling a little worse for wear after a few too many whiskeys the night before! But with a bit of help from his parents, he eventually suited up, looking dapper and ready for the day.

The ceremony itself was full of fun moments, particularly when the registrar had to repeat Mykela’s full name about five times, much to everyone’s amusement. The laughter echoed through the room, and when the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle, they were greeted with cheers and celebratory drinks.

After the ceremony, we headed into the beautiful grounds of Aston Hall Hotel for some group photos and canapés. The venue’s lush surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for Dean and Mykela’s portraits, which were truly something special. We even had some fun with coloured smoke flares, which added a unique and vibrant touch to the shots.

The reception was just as delightful. I was fortunate enough to join some of Dean’s friends at their table during the meal, and they kept me entertained with their stories and humor. It was a great atmosphere, with everyone chatting and complimenting the happy couple.

As the evening rolled in, the room was transformed for the night’s festivities. The dance floor came alive, with special thanks to Dean’s mum, who kept the party going strong! It was a beautiful ending to a truly memorable day.

I am so grateful to have been part of Mr. & Mrs. MacFadyen’s big day, capturing all the love, laughter, and moments in between.

What was the best part of your day?

The best part of our day was seeing our Family & Friends Celebrating and just having the best time together.

Further to that Dean says not having to buy a single drink all day 😉

Why did you choose your wedding venue?

Aston Hall was just absolutely stunning. When we first went to view Aston Hall it was in October time and the first thing you see is just the stunning view of the front of the building with the different coloured leaves it was just beautiful. Going into Aston Hall all the staff were just so friendly and helpful and just had all around happy vibes. The rooms were spacious and very modern. You have everything you need in one place, ceremony room. Guests rooms, evening rooms. Aston hall makes sure your day is to perfection. All around fantastic venue.

What advice would you give to other couples planning their wedding?

Sometimes less is more.

Don't stress trying to plan out your day. You want to enjoy it not stress over the little things. Just go with what you want as a couple and not what you think other people would like/want. Its your day!

Is there anything that you would have done differently?

No absolutely not. We loved every single moment of our day and we never wanted it to end.
