On a sun-drenched spring day at Ormonde Fields Golf Club, Lisa and Ian said “I do” in a celebration filled with love, laughter, and a few truly unforgettable touches.


I arrived just as Lisa was putting the final touches to her look, and she was absolutely radiant. With her daughter by her side, she made her way to the ceremony—beaming with joy and ready to meet Ian at the end of the aisle.

Their ceremony was nothing short of breathtaking. Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, Lisa and Ian made it uniquely theirs, writing and sharing their own heartfelt vows. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as they spoke so genuinely from the heart.


Adding to the magic, a tiny ladybug made a surprise appearance and landed delicately on Lisa’s dress during the vows—just one of those little moments that felt like nature’s blessing on their love story.


And as if the moment couldn’t be more enchanting, a very special guest made an appearance—a stunning barn owl, gracefully flying in to deliver the rings. It was such a beautiful and symbolic addition, and everyone was absolutely captivated.

After the ceremony, we took full advantage of the golden afternoon light to capture some relaxed group shots and couple portraits. Lisa had some fantastic ideas for photos, and despite the heat, the umbrellas made an appearance—not to shield from rain this time, but to add a fun and whimsical touch to their portraits.


The day was filled with joy and connection, and you could truly feel the love between Lisa and Ian as well as the warmth from everyone who came to celebrate with them. It was such an honour to document their day and preserve these memories forever.

What was the best part of your day?


Getting married surrounded by all our family and friends—it truly meant the world to us. Just having everyone we love there to witness such an important moment in our lives made it so special. The owls were definitely a magical highlight too! Seeing the barn owl fly in with our rings was unforgettable—it felt like something out of a fairytale and added a really unique touch to our ceremony.

Why did you choose your wedding venue?


We were drawn to Ormonde Fields Golf Club because it’s such a lovely place with beautiful grounds—perfect for our big day. As soon as we visited, we knew it was the one. Karen, the event manager, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the whole process, which made everything feel so much easier and more relaxed.

What advice would you give to other couples planning their wedding?


Get everything organised nice and early so you’re not rushing around at the last minute. The more you can have in place beforehand, the more you’ll be able to relax and truly enjoy the day—it goes by so quickly, so make the most of every moment!

Is there anything that you would have done differently?


No, not a thing. The day was exactly how we wanted it—full of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
